PlayOn is looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Fan Experience Development team. As a Senior Software Engineer, your core responsibilities will encompass spearheading and actively participating in the formulation, development, and upkeep of our NFHS Network applications and services. You will collaborate seamlessly with multifunctional teams to dissect, blueprint, and execute cloud-native software solutions that align precisely with customer requirements. Our ideal candidate for this role is deeply impassioned by technology, possesses a profound aptitude for problem-solving, and thrives in the fast-paced, ever-evolving realm of our dynamic environment.
Our vision is to build a ticketing and streaming platform for high school sports that is reliable, scalable, and user-friendly. We strive to provide a seamless experience for parents, students, and fans to purchase tickets and stream live events. Our platform will be accessible from any device, anywhere, anytime. We will leverage the latest technologies and best practices in software engineering to build a robust and secure platform that meets the needs of our users. Additional responsibilities and accountabilities for this role include:
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of software applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and implement software solutions.
• Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and other team activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist in their professional development.
• Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations to the team.
• Ensure that development processes and practices are followed.
• Write technical documentation and ensure that it is up-to-date.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure data consistency and integrity across systems.
