Job Description Summary

The Project Manager for Patient Mobilization Programs is the role in charge of executing the projects intended to attract patients to different use cases, mainly clinical trials and registries.
The role implies the regular activities expected from a project manager, like owning the day to day responsibility on project execution, keep a constant communication with the client or the stakeholder management.
Related to the PMP-Patient Mobilization Program, the specific expertise on digital marketing tools is required, as technical backbone of the PMP projects.
The job has a set scope, but also requires the interaction with different areas in Alira Health, mainly PCT for Technology, and then Clinical or Real World Evidence.

PROJECT MANAGER PMP – PCT / CLI PRACTICE

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:        Project Manager Patient Mobilization Programs (PMP)                                                        

Reports to:     Director of Product (PCT) – Temporarily with dotted line to Clinical

PATIENT MOBILIZATION ACTIVITY

Alira provides a range of different services as a CRO. One of them is critical to support recruitment for Clinical Trials and potentially Registries, and it’s called PMP. This offer consists of a set of digital ads together with our technology which supports the recruitment of patients interested in being randomized into our clinical trials, or to participate into registries.

THE PROJECT MANAGER ROLE

Project Manager fully owns assigned projects, develop, and deliver components of the client engagement, and drive the success of each project. Interacts with all the involved internal stakeholders in Clinical and in the technology team.

The Project Manager will primarily be involved in country level and global projects indistinctively and will be involved from the initial definition of the strategy and planning until its complete execution. Most importantly the Project Manager will handle the NDA, MSA and DPA signature’s process, as well as any required amendment from the client before the initiation of any project when necessary and will secure the control of invoicing process.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (not exhaustive, not definitive list)

Project work (90% of time)

Online Patient Mobilization Program

  • Partner with external vendor to set up the adequate online media buying plan to reach the target of patients
  • Define the landing page and its content together with social media ads and display ads in collaboration with the external vendor
  • Coordinate every step of the process with the client to secure compliance and Ethical Committees / IRB approvals
  • Partner with Clinical integrating the PMP as a workstream in the Clinical Project whenever that is required (e.g. a Patient Concierge is required, or additional Clinical operations are considered as part of the assignment)
  • Partner with PCT team to set up the process for our internal technology
  • Engage with the client systematically to ensure project monitoring, report outcomes and assess the results obtained

Offline Parallel Approach

  • Define the type of patient associations or community ones to be reached out to inform about the clinical trial
  • Create the necessary tools (leaflets, letters….) to secure the information process
  • Coordinate a mapping of potential referrals
  • Check out any possible external DDBB or resource as a source of extra patients

Support for internal recruitment to registries

  • Cooperate with the Real World Evidence team to define potential needs to recruit patients for Alira Health registries and, if needed, develop a plan and execute it accordingly following  points a) and b)

Business Development (up to 10% of time)

  • Pitch products and/or services directly to leads generated by Clinical or RWE.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, develop customized quotes and proposals.
  • Keep contact with external vendors that may also support the preparation of sales presentations and proposals.

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

  • University degree with an excellent academic record in pharmacy, life sciences, public health or economic background.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience within the pharmaceutical industry, public agencies, or healthcare consultancy companies.
  • Proven project management experience, from interaction with client through deliverable.
  • Expertise and understanding of the clinical regulations in the US and Europe regarding the advertisement of Clinical trials to patients.
  • Full knowledge of Paid Social and Paid Search activity: Display, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, Pinterest Ads, TikTok Ads...
  • Performance analysis, able to make recommendations based on insights, executing campaign implementation and optimization both hands on and in collaboration with external vendors.
  • Campaign activation, implementation of the investment plan for paid search on-going budget pacing, keyword bidding, creative tests execution, etc.
  • BD skills
  • Proactive and solution oriented.
  • Flexible to accommodate changing priorities, with a positive and “can-do” attitude.
  • Excellent business English, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
  • Self-starter who thrives in collaborative, yet less structured team environment.
