Job Description Summary

Build, deploy, and maintain stability of nonproduction and production servers/applications in support of internal applications cloud migration to GCP. Create and build infrastructure with help of Terraform in GCP and work with application team to support existing or new applications with GCP infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

• Develop automation recipes for managing our systems infrastructure and contribute to a continuous delivery pipeline

• Create infra in GCP with help of Terraform

• Build CI/CD pipelines for deploy application in GKE 

• Perform problem resolution including root cause analysis of system and application incidents

• Partner with the development team to implement scalable and secure application configurations

• Act as technology lead or resource as needed in support of new application and infrastructure projects

• Develop relationships with and work alongside other functional IT groups such as networking, database, and security

• Assist with performance testing and tuning of complex and high-traffic web applications

• Instrument applications to provide the best possible operational monitoring and metrics

• Identify and evaluate new technologies that can improve Active's products and processes

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Total experience should be 7 to 10 years in IT. 

• 4+ years of hands-on experience  in designing, architecting, implementation, and managing cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform

• 4+ years of strong experience in Kubernetes. Working knowledge and skills in cloud container services (e.g. GKE, EKS, AKS), storage services (e.g. EBS), and database services, 

• Working knowledge about GCP services like cloud run, appengine, pubsub, cloud deploy/build,cloud storage etc 

• Strong working experience on GCP, terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Linux, Ansible & Docker. 

• Hands-on experience in CICD for java & dotnet applications build and deployments. 

• Hands-on experience in OS - Linux and Windows troubleshooting and patching.

• Working knowledge about docker, dockerfiles

• Experience with the concept of "infrastructure as code" and configuration management tools like Terraform is a must

• Experience with Load Balancers, 

• Excellent technical troubleshooting experience.

• Using deployment pipelines i.e. Git, Jenkins, Artifactory etc. (How to set up pipelines, a basic understanding of Jenkins, Git, Artifactory)

Additional Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Ruby and Bash scripting languages.

• Advanced knowledge of systems security practices.

• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations.

• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of users.

• Ability to manage a multi-project environment.
