C.H. Robinson is expanding the team in Sweden and seeking a Principal Global Forwarding Agent- Air export to join our Global Forwarding division.

As a Global Forwarding Agent, you will be your customers’ primary contact responsible for managing and operating the shipment lifecycle of their global freight.  A successful Global Forwarding Agent thrives in a lightning-fast environment, finding swift resolutions to transportation and documentation problems. You’ll be very hands-on with your customers, working closely with them from the start of the shipment process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

• Apply industry knowledge to adapt processes, solve challenges, and drive operational excellence
• Execute and coordinate shipments while mentoring others on meeting customer SOP requirements
• Ensure data accuracy for all customer shipments, including documentation, routing, and compliance
• Support audits, manage invoicing tasks, and uphold operational integrity and compliance
• Act as the first point of escalation for issues, ensuring prompt and thorough resolution
• Coach team members on pricing strategies and process improvements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, agents, and service providers
• Participate in new business implementations and ensure SOPs are up to date
• Monitor customer shipment trends and identify operational impacts or improvement opportunities
• Support cross-functional teams, technology adoption, customer visits, and reporting for sales teams

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• High school diploma
• 3-5 years of Global Forwarding industry experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

Preferred:

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field
• 6-8 years of Global Forwarding industry experience
• Extensive industry and department knowledge (process & handling, regulations, international shipping, etc.)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proactive, ambitious, hardworking, analytical mindset
• Positive leadership skills and presence within the team (positive attitude, team player, flexibility)
• Strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills
• High level of flexibility as priorities and needs change daily in our business
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to meet customer and business objectives both short-term and long-term
• High level of attention to detail and ability to execute with 95% of higher monthly audit compliance and very minimal unbillable charges
