Role Overview

As a Financial Reporting Accountant for the UK & Ireland, you will support day‑to‑day accounting operations for our clinic network, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with MVHE Group standards, and strong collaboration with internal and external partners. You will play a key role in month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end reporting cycles, while contributing to process improvements and systems development across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to daily accounting activities for clinic operations across the UK & Ireland.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries in Oracle and group reporting systems (including inventory and bad debt).
  • Perform sales reconciliations, VAT settlements, and balance sheet reconciliations using Oracle and BlackLine.
  • Support statutory financial statements and tax reporting in collaboration with external advisors.
  • Own the balance sheet, ensuring high‑quality, timely reconciliations in BlackLine and clear reporting of risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with Group Accounting on technical matters and support the management team as required.
  • Contribute to ad‑hoc tasks and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with MVHE Group accounting standards and support implementation of new policies.

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Academic degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified is preferred but would consider Part Qualified 

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting within large, matrix organisations or Shared Service Centres.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and strong technical accounting skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under time pressure with advanced MS Office / Excel skills.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP and OneStream preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
