The Opportunity: 

The Trade, Transport & Logistics Centre of Expertise in Kraków, Poland, is a team of specialists whose support business units are located in Europe and supervise global logistics operations. We are currently seeking a senior specialist in customs operations to coordinate customs activities for Hitachi Energy's business units.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Coordinate customs operations (import/export), check shipping documentation to ensure trade compliance, and prepare monthly reports.
• Take responsibility for cooperating with internal and external parties to ensure that customs-related payments are issued promptly.
• Stay in touch with customers to receive and provide information.
• Check shipping documentation to ensure trade compliance.
• Seek savings opportunities
• Prepare GTS in the SAP system for Customs Agencies according to internal regulations
• Prepare monthly reports,
• Take responsibility for cooperating with internal and external parties to ensure that customs-related payments are issued on time.
• Guide the business units, external partners and team members with their knowledge and experience in the Customs and Trade area.

Your Background:

• Min 5 years of experience in Customs or Trade area
• Knowledge in Customs Law and Regulations (HS codes, Incoterms, customs procedures: free trade, IPR, OPR, etc) is a must;
• English language at least B2 level;
• Experience with SAP GTS will be an advantage
• Well-communicating and organisational skills
• Take care of details
• Field of study: SCM/logistics - nice to have
• Experience in a Customer Service job will be an advantage
