Your new role

The Agency Manager will use their ability to build and foster positive relationships with key partners and influence buy-in to use all possible revenue. You will be a great teammate who thrives in a highly fluid, agile environment and delivers excellent customer service with innovative sales solutions. The Agency Manager will lead all aspects of a portfolio of assigned clients, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities within the Audio space. This role demands proactivity, enthusiasm, passion and an unerring willingness to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Having one of the widest product sets in the market to take to your clients. From advising your agencies & clients on a tailored data led DAX proposal to leading multi-million-pound ‘big idea’ pitches across our whole Global portfolio, the AM is at the forefront of taking Global products to market
  • The opportunity to learn new skills and develop your knowledge base through Global’s new integrated multi-channel offering
  • You are the face of Global within your agency patch, with the freedom to own and develop relationships with agency comms planning teams and key clients, building your network and industry profile
  • Develop and nurture new and existing relationships with both external partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Companion sell Audio & Digital, alongside other media platforms to win business and drive revenue.
  • Manage and develop relationships with a range of stakeholders across Global.
  • Understand the key challenges and issues your customers face and ensure that your team are helping to provide solutions to these challenges to ensure we are perceived as a key partner.
  • Drive the client segmentation process for your agency group.
  • Ensure you deliver exceptional customer service and the smooth running of the day-to-day business – this will include forecasting for your business on a three-monthly rolling basis and working closely with the key trading heads to ensure the delivery of weekly targets.
  • Coordinate and lead on significant individual client pitches & inspiration sessions.
  • To be a Global ambassador and an architect in the shaping of the new Global commercial culture as a fully integrated team.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • A strong understanding of the role of Global within the media marketplace.
  • Build your Global knowledge and attendance of all training courses across Radio, DAX and Podcasts.
  • Understand client segmentation and day to day responsibilities of an Agency Manager.
  • Contribute positively to a dynamic team culture.
  • Examples of proactive portfolio selling across your patch.
  • Revenue and product mix targets across all product lines.
  • Specific client growth targets: acquisition, growth, and retention.
  • Accurate forecast and pipeline management with consistent communication to trading teams

What You’ll Need

  • Demonstrated media sales experience as an experienced Account Executive or Account Manager.
  • Strong understanding of the UK media market place, with particular emphasis on the Audio Market
  • Direct agency sales experience and able to successfully pitch to clients.
  • Hitting and exceeding sales targets consistently in a team environment (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly).
  • Proactive sales approach and able to deliver creative and innovative sales solutions.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Resilient and flexible individual who is interested in developing their ultimate career.
  • Proactive, innovative, motivated outlook and share the same passion for multi-media channels.
