Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Transformation Governance

  • Partner with the COO to formulate and execute the divisional strategic roadmap that supports AIA Singapore’s long-term business goals.

  • Lead strategic planning and performance governance to ensure divisional initiatives are aligned to enterprise priorities, including Group Operations, TDA, and Distribution.
  • Establish clear transformation KPIs, track ROI, and present progress to senior leadership for transparency and accountability.

Operational Excellence & Risk Governance

  • Oversee operational risk governance, process standardisation, and compliance with Group and MAS requirements.
  • Strengthen operational resilience, data accuracy, and service quality through continuous review of workflow, system integration, and customer touchpoints.
  • Influence divisional resource planning, productivity benchmarks, and cost efficiency through data analytics and insights. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the COO’s strategic representative in cross-functional and regional forums (Group Ops, Group Transformation Office, TDA, Distribution, ALMA).
  • Lead structured engagement sessions with Distribution (Tied Agency, FA, Partnership) to co-create solutions enhancing customer experience, service turnaround, and digital enablement.
  • Collaborate with Group and local stakeholders to identify and implement best practices in operational innovation. People Leadership & Mentoring
  • Act as a mentor and role model to high-potential employees, building leadership capability and succession pipeline within Life Operations.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability that supports AIA’s long-term operational excellence and transformation agenda.
  • Champion TDA initiatives related to digital adoption, data analytics, and operational innovation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Life Insurance Operations or Strategic Management, with proven success in driving transformation or efficiency programs.
  • Strong understanding of life insurance operations, regulatory environment, and cost management levers.
