Job Description Summary:

Responsible for performing routine diagnostic, clerical procedures, selecting correct technique factors, and positioning. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Enrolled in Radiologic Technologist school and CPR certified. Under the direction of the Diagnostic Manager and assigned staff Technologist responsible for performing routine diagnostic procedures on an assigned shift. The employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs routine diagnostic procedures and portable radiographic procedures on patients of all ages with minimum direction and assistance.
  • Demonstrates proficiency with the Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archive Communication System (PACS), Computed Radiography (CR), and Digital Radiography (DR).
  • Proficient use of all diagnostic Radiolographic equipment with minimum direction and assistance.
  • Operation and care of computerized processing system.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
  • Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department.
  • Assists technologists and Radiologists in performing radiographic procedures and tasks.
  • Performs all clerical and ancillary functions related to exams and records.
  • Practices and maintains all safety regulations and procedures.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Enrolled in Radiologic Technologist school and CPR certified.  

LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION:

  • CPR certified
