As an International Tax Senior Manager you will be joining our dynamic global tax team. You will be an integral part of the tax team reporting to the Director of Tax, EMEA & APAC in London who is responsible for Global Transfer Pricing and International tax. We partner closely with internal teams to identify and analyse the innovative activities and tax implications of our various business channels as the global e-commerce and mobile markets are continuously evolving. You will take on challenging projects that impact Groupon’s worldwide effective tax rate and operations. Additionally you will work on matters ranging from tax planning and compliance, transfer pricing and tax audits.

We work flexibly in Groupon and have a hybrid working structure. You would be required to work in the office 2 days a week.

Job Description

• Support the Director of Tax, EMEA & APAC across a wider range of advisory projects from a Direct Tax and Transfer Pricing perspective.

• You will be responsible for leading domestic and overseas tax authority inquiries, audits and tax litigations. This includes driving the strategy, approach and collaborating responses from respective areas of the business.

• You will be responsible for Transfer Pricing including:

• Manage end to end the outsourced Global Transfer Pricing Compliance for local and Master files

• Support and oversee quarterly SOX control process.

• Support intercompany team with implementing any changes or new charges from a transfer pricing perspective.

• Review of benchmark refreshes and assess implications of any changes.

• Monitoring of any potential PE risks created through business changes and becoming a key contact in finance for advising the business on the same.

• Monitor changes to tax legislation for international direct tax and transfer pricing in EMEA and APAC and consider how this may impact the group.

• Liaise with the business directly and assess the tax implications and potential impacts of any new offerings or business line changes.

• Manage the outsourced UK Corporate Tax Compliance process including statutory provisions, annual returns and quarterly instalment payments.

• Support the VP of Tax and Director of Tax, EMEA & APAC on presentations and updates to Steam on significant tax issues.

• Develop and oversee the International Tax Manager who will report directly to you and is also based in London.

• You will be part of the Pillar 2 working group.
