The Opportunity

We are seeking an energetic and organized individual to join our Manufacturing team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Manufacturing, this person will be responsible for leading and ensuring daily production processes run smoothly and effectively. This leader will oversee productions processes on a day-to-day basis, and ensures that work orders are executed safely, on time, within budget and to the right quality & regulatory standards. To be successful in this role, you will need to be a self-starter that is hooked on continuous improvement, thrives in a constantly changing environment and is eager for new challenges. You will contribute to the profitability of the business by coordinating each step of the production process to ensure customers’ needs are met. Responsibilities  

  • Health & Safety of our employees is our priority. Investigate issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner working within our health and safety framework.

  • Embrace a system of weekly commitments where production schedule is executed effectively, efficiently, to the right quality standard, in the right time.

  • Capable of delegation and empowerment of your team for in week execution. Reviewing and adjusting schedule multiple weeks in advance in collaboration with planning and scheduling.

  • Building of people and teams that are autonomous in their execution as well as continuous improvement.

  • Provide and maintain training for new and existing staff to develop a strong and diverse team

  • Participate in and lead continuous improvements initiatives

  • Ensure all SOP’s and proper inventory management practices for post-release and finished goods are being followed

  • Prompt response and resolution to all non-conformances and investigations

  • Develop professional and collaborative rapport as liaison between your team, other teams associated with the group and management

  • Weekly reporting on quality, uptime, and labour utilization KPIs

  • Ensure that sanitation and room/equipment maintenance schedules are followed and documented

  • Other duties as requested as we grow and expand

Experience

Health & Safety & Continuous Improvement:

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with experience in conducting training and safety investigations.

  • Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and promote operational excellence.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or management role.

  • Experience in a regulated environment an asset.

  • Experience with leading organizational transformation an asset.

  • Certification(s) in continuous improvement such as Lean / Six Sigma an asset

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and inventory management practices.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Leadership & Communication:

  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on building relationships and developing team members.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
