Job Description Summary:

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. (Department has scheduled staff to operate 24/7/365).

The RN accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

According to department policies and nursing care standards, provides professional nursing care services to patients.

Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to assigned patients.

Central Flex Team nurses support multiple care sites throughout OhioHealth, including Riverside, Grant, Doctors, Dublin, Berger, Grove City, and the Short Stay Units at Pickerington and Westerville in inpatient settings Med/Surg, Intermediate or Critical Care. Each shift provides a different experience as the Flex associate potentially supports a different unit/care-site for each scheduled shift. Flex associates are assigned to a care site anywhere from two hours to weeks in advance. This position requires a strong clinical nurse who feels confident and comfortable in asking questions and seeking clarifications when necessary. Flex nurses must be independent but able to adapt to each unit’s specific needs. This position offers the unique opportunity to experience different units throughout OhioHealth with added benefits of float pay and mileage reimbursement.

Seeking night shift for Medical Surgical or Intermediate levels of care.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree: Nursing (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart AssociationAmerican Heart AssociationAmerican Heart Association, RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of NursingOhio Board of NursingOhio Board of Nursing
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio
  • BLS certification
  • BSN required.
  • One year of nursing experience required.
