What you'll be doing:
Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly and maintain a monthly reconciliation book
Lead the monthly close process, including journal entries, management reporting, and P&L analysis
Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting activities
Respond to internal and external audit requests, including year-end audits
Assist in documenting and testing internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
Calculate incentive compensation payments
Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports, including the Control Book and quarterly Board Book
Research and interpret data to answer accounting and financial inquiries
Complete special projects and other related tasks as assigned
What we look for:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent experience preferred
4+ years of accounting experience, ideally a mix of public and corporate accounting
Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting software systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Basic to intermediate English skills (with willingness to learn and grow) and B1 level German skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines
Detail-oriented, accurate and committed to high-quality work
