Ark is scaling fast, and we’re looking for a Business Director to lead the step-change.

Backed by private equity and growing at over 30% annually, Ark is the UK’s leader in building safety and compliance, delivering fire, H&S, structural, and water risk services, powered by our proprietary tech platform, QUOODA®.

We’re now moving from expert-led consultancy to a scalable, data-driven platform business, and this role is critical to making that transformation real.

👊 What You’ll Do

As Business Director, you’ll be the trusted co-pilot to the MD, leading our operating model, budget execution, and commercial performance. You’ll:
• Own our performance cadence — from weekly flash to quarterly reforecast
• Manage P&L delivery alongside the MD and FC
• Lead and coach operations and delivery leaders across the business
• Drive scalable systems, margin control, and resource alignment
• Shape our structure and culture as we scale from £20M to £60M+

This is a hands-on leadership role in a PE-backed transformation environment — ideal for someone who’s led growth from £15–50M+ and understands what real operational discipline looks like.

• 7–12+ years in commercial or operational leadership in services, SaaS, compliance or consulting
• Proven experience owning budgets, KPIs, pricing models, and delivery
• Systems-builder who drives clarity, accountability, and performance
