WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As an Inventory Control Specialist for Nike AIR MI, you support the Operations & Logistics department to drive inventory accuracy and close gaps on processes by creating best practices to understand root cause and drive sustainable future proof solutions. This role is responsible for supporting; QA, Planning, Finance and the Production team by performing cycle counts and recounts on raw materials and finished goods.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
As our Inventory Control Specialist, you'll perform cycle counts of materials warehoused on site and sometimes @ our 3PL ( DHL ) on a rotating schedule, recounting materials as needed.  You will also be responsible for reporting any inventory concerns to the Finance Team, Leadership Team & Sr. Inventory Control Coordinator. You will be responsible for driving favorable inventories year end by decreasing inventory adjustments and holding support departments accountable for supplying needed documents to support inventory variances in SAP.   On-the-fly troubleshooting and partnership with Material Handlers to ensure inventory accuracy standards are achieved and practiced on a daily basis.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
You will report directly to the Manager of Operations and Logistics, working directly with the Sr Inventory Control Specialist.  You will indirectly report to the on-shift Ops and Logistics Sup on a daily basis working with the Sup and Material Handlers in the department to ensure inventory accuracy standards are met and troubleshoot any issues, in the moment, as they arise. The goal is to ensure that the Material Handlers have accurate quantities of what they need in order to supply production to manufacture products and they are following standard work instructions as it relates to issuing materials physically and systematically.

Available shifts:
Monday through Friday – 9:00 am 6:00 pm

Qualifications:

  • SAP & JDA Experience
  • Ability to streamline processes to create simple and clean solutions to minimize errors
  • Ability to create SOP’s & trainings to achieve inventory goals and targets.
  • Ability to partner with other support departments holding them accountable for following Ops and Logistics SWI’s and Best Practices
  • Understanding of the material workflow from the 3PL facility to the warehouse to production floor and vice versa, to help troubleshoot inventory discrepancies.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and makes decisions related to own work
  • Ability to analyze data, inventory discrepancies and problems solve
  • Ability to partner with support functions to close gaps on broken processes


WHAT YOU WILL BRING?
3+ years of Inventory and Cycle Count experience within a manufacturing, warehouse, or equivalent environment

3+ years of SAP and JDA experience

3+ years track record of driving successful inventories that support the company’s inventory target and goal
3+ years’ experience operating a forklift

Ability to partner & work closely with cross functional teams to pinpoint inventory variances with a suggested action plan to address gaps.

Ability to present to members of ELT
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
Ability to bend and stand during entire shift
College Degree or equivalent
