Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking a Distinguished Experience Architect to join our Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Solutions division. In this role, you will define and advance the system-level experience architecture for Agentic AI experiences, shaping how intelligence, automation, and adaptive workflows are expressed across products, platforms, and industries.
As a visionary leader and senior individual contributor, you will work at the intersection of design, product, and technology to establish conceptual frameworks, architectural models, and guiding principles that enable coherent, scalable, and trustworthy AI-driven experiences across Autodesk. You will help define how emerging agentic capabilities integrate into customer workflows and influence the future direction of intelligent product experiences.
This role is ideal for a systems thinker with deep expertise in experience architecture, conceptual modeling, and cross-organizational alignment. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, architects, and senior leaders to shape long-term direction, guide near-term decisions, and drive architectural cohesion across a rapidly evolving AI landscape.
Responsibilities
Serve as the lead experience architect for Agentic AI experiences, defining actionable strategies that unify business, technology, and customer priorities
Own system-level experience architecture spanning products, platforms, and workflows, helping drive architectural direction and broad product strategy
Define and evolve UX architecture frameworks, conceptual models, and reusable architectural patterns that guide consistent and scalable experience decisions
Lead the definition of foundational experience models for intelligent systems, including identity, memory, context, permissions, invocation, and workflow orchestration
Drive cross-functional and cross-organizational alignment across product, engineering, UX, and architecture teams through workshops, reviews, design sprints, and strategic discussions
Influence product direction and roadmap decisions by translating long-term architectural vision into practical guidance for implementation
Collaborate with executive stakeholders, designers, engineers, product managers, and architects to ensure coherent and effective outcomes across initiatives
Create prototypes, presentations, and architectural artifacts that communicate future-state vision and enable adoption across teams
Drive design cohesion, unification, and modernization across AI-driven and agentic experience initiatives
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to help Autodesk remain innovative and competitive in intelligent product experiences
Minimum Qualifications
15+ years of experience in user experience design, experience architecture, information architecture, or a related field
Deep expertise in systems thinking, conceptual modeling, and architectural frameworks for complex product ecosystems
Experience defining system-level or platform-level experience architecture across multiple products or teams
Experience shaping AI-assisted, automated, or agentic product experiences
Ability to advocate for a shared design vision that aligns customer and business priorities with diverse audiences, including senior executives
Mastery of communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills, with the ability to align teams around complex strategic concepts
Experience creating influential relationships within and across product groups
Ability to work effectively in agile and fast-moving environments
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience defining foundational models for intelligent or agentic systems, including memory, context, identity, permissions, and workflow orchestration
Experience working across large, matrixed organizations with influence across multiple business units
Familiarity with Autodesk AEC products or similarly complex workflow-driven enterprise products
Experience driving large-scale design unification across multiple verticals, platforms, or products
Recognition as a thought leader in experience architecture, systems design, or related disciplines through publications, presentations, patents, or other industry contributions
Passion for shaping the future of AI-enabled workflows and empowering professionals through better tools and experiences
