The Finance Sr. Manager – ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) will be responsible for overseeing, planning and managing of various accounting and finance operations and global initiatives for Skechers, including those relevant to the Skechers’ global ESG reporting initiatives. This position will enhance Skechers’ global ESG program through leading the company's ESG reporting initiatives, ensuring compliance with evolving ESG standards, and driving the organization's sustainability strategy.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-

  • Lead the development and implementation of global ESG reporting strategies and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Communications, Human Resources and various global Finance teams to ensure compliance with ESG regulations (CSRD, SEC, CA Climate, and other related regulations).
  • Evaluate and support strategic initiatives, including potential acquisitions, business combinations, tax strategies, systems and infrastructure enhancements and integrations supporting company growth and efficiencies.
  • Collaborate across the organization to validate and analyze data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness and maintain appropriate documentation for internal control requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address sustainability risks and opportunities.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of annual global ESG reports and other sustainability-related disclosures.
  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems, including systems for collecting, reporting and analyzing ESG data.
  • Develop and manage global ESG project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource requirements to achieve external reporting deadlines.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving ESG regulations and industry best practices, and implement necessary changes to reporting processes.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE-

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or consulting. Experience in sustainable finance a plus.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability practices and ESG principles, frameworks, and regulations and the specific ESG challenges and opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant sustainability reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
  • Excellent large-scale project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic regulatory environment.
  • Passionate about sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
  • Committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity.

$140K-$190K/Annually
