Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is looking for a Contracts Senior Manager based out of Huntsville, Alabama or Houston, Texas.

As the Senior Manager, you will support business areas within the Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems Division and Boeing Defense, Space and Security Business Unit (BDS). This critical position is a key member of the Boeing Exploration Systems (BES) leadership team.  It’s a multifaceted position that collaborates with various internal collaborators, and connects primarily with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and other customers supporting Government Contracts.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and performs integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives

  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of contract administrators and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers (domestic and international), collaborators, peers, partners, and direct reports

  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees and mentors first line leaders at multiple sites

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 10+ years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and administering contracts in programs with multiple customers and multiple contract types, such as: general terms agreements, assignment agreements, nondisclosure agreements, purchase, and sale agreements

  • 10+ years of experience leading or managing proposal development and negotiating government contracts

  • Willing to travel domestically as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience directly managing a project, team, or organization

  • Prior experience working with NASA

Summary pay range: $139,400 – $188,600
