Position Overview

Autodesk is in the midst of a significant back-office transformation, and we need a motivated individual to assist in this change for Revenue Accounting!  As the Revenue Operations Manager for this project, you will collaborate closely with your manager, Revenue Accounting, the Controllership, System Integrators, Project Managers, Engineers, and other key stakeholders in the Company.  You will provide guidance to the project team, assist in UAT initiatives, and eventually roll out the exciting system and process changes to the entire Organization.

Based on SF Bay Area. Willing and able to come into the SF office at least 1x per week.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Revenue Operations team in the full project life cycle, with a focus on U.S.GAAP and Revenue Recognition under ASC 606. This includes requirement gathering, system design, UAT, go-live, and hyper care support

  • Work closely with engineers and project teams to understand operational capabilities and feasibilities of proposals presented

  • Lead UAT efforts on behalf of Revenue Operations team. This includes UAT planning and scope, detail reviewing test files, and tracking resolution of issues discovered during UAT

  • Manage two senior analysts, who will directly report to this position

  • Implement and document processes and procedures as required including SOX compliance and internal controls

  • Evaluate accounting implications and confirm we can operationally support operational changes under the provisions of ASC 606

  • Provide accounting guidance to project team and engineers

  • Support broader team in all communications, training efforts, and overall transition to the new business models and system flows

  • Develop and support process improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent practical experience

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • Excellent business acumen with ability to deal with ambiguity

  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to understand and present data

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment across all organizations as well as independently

  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with a focus on revenue recognition

  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Powerpoint

  • Experience with system implementations or other UAT efforts

  • Excellent quantitative, analytical and data mining skills

  • Enthusiastic and creative with the ability to inspire, influence and encourage others, in both relationships with customers and peers

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification or equivalent practical experience

  • Experience working with RAR, SAP, and/or Business Objects or other relevant systems

  • Experience in software or SaaS industry

  • Experience with people management

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $110,900 and $179,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
