Through in-field scientific engagement with healthcare providers and external experts, the Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) fosters a more informed healthcare environment by communicating deep knowledge of GSK data within the context of overall patient care to ensure evidence-based understanding of the science behind GSK medicines and vaccines, gathering valuable insights into GSK products, services, and medical/scientific information to better understand patient needs and evidence gaps.

The MSL plays a critical role in operationalizing strategy by developing insights that support the creation and execution of innovative medical affairs strategies.

Your Responsibilities:

This role gives YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, the main of these are:

  • The MSL leads one-on-one scientific and clinical interactions with external experts and the broader medical community in a non-promotional setting.

  • They bring the medical voice of the customer into the organization through advisory boards, medical education, congress presentations, publications, and other non-promotional activities, adhering to GSK's Code of Practice and local regulations.

  • Responsibilities include developing and implementing local strategies to address data gaps, advancing scientific understanding of GSK medicines and therapeutic areas, and responding to medical queries. They also ensure non-promotional materials are medically accurate and compliant with GSK and local standards.

  • The MSL acts as a scientific expert, engaging in two-way dialogues with healthcare professionals to gather insights, supporting clinical trial recruitment, providing input on pipeline products, and offering guidance to study teams and investigators.

  • They serve as a liaison between the healthcare community and GSK’s internal teams, providing insights to inform medical, commercial, and R&D activities. They also partner with cross-functional colleagues to align strategies with patient and business needs, and provide scientific education to internal stakeholders.

  • The MSL stays current in the evolving scientific landscape, including competitor products, by attending scientific meetings and congresses. They ensure full compliance with GSK standards, policies, local codes of practice, and laws.

  • Medical Degree or health related fields.

  • Strong experience within vaccines or infectology field

  • Experience working as a Medical Science Liaison

  • Ability to work independently and ability to travel extensively

  • Advanced English

  • Excellent public speaker, with outstanding presentation skills
