Job Description Summary:

Job Description Summary
This position provides general nursing care to patients and families along the health illness continuum in diverse health care settings while collaborating with the health care team. He/She is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities include:
Chest tube drains may be present.

Thoracic surgery: Primarily done to remove masses, fluid, or air from the pleural space

Includes lung resections, lung removal or lung biopsies

Chest tube drains are very common
•Common things to see: A-line, epidural, PCA’s, Trach vents

Provide safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status

Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care

Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes

Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations

Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing

Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes

Minimum Qualifications:

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart AssociationAmerican Heart AssociationAmerican Heart Association, RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of NursingOhio Board of NursingOhio Board of Nursing

State Driver's License. RN - Registered Nurse BLS - Basic Life Support CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Field of Study: Nursing Years of Experience 0
