We are looking for a dedicated Auto Mechanical Technician (M.E.T. Tech) to be an integral part of the daily operations at our Aviva AutoCare Centre located in Mississauga. 

You will be charged with assessing vehicle damage in terms of mechanical and electrical components. Ensuring ‘what matters’ to our customers is central to how the business operates by achieving customer satisfaction and financial performance while producing quality repairs.

What You’ll Do:  

• Strips and refits parts on damaged vehicles 

• Use diagnostic equipment to diagnose and repair electric faults 

• Fix mechanical damage, e.g. Engine, suspension, steering 

• Use computerized machine for wheel alignment 

• Order necessary parts for vehicles from parts department 

• Prepare invoices for completed work and send them to accounts department 

• Ensure repairs flow through workshop and identify issues that result in failure 

• Be an active member of the team encouraging a collaborative working environment focusing on what matters to the customer 

• Deliver upon promises made to customers ensuring they will be without vehicle for shortest possible time 

• Maintain quality and technical standards within MET area 

• Promote Aviva AutoCare Centre values and goals  

What You’ll Bring:  
 

• Red Seal - Automotive Service Technician certificate 

• Minimum 3 years of experience working within the auto repair industry, preferably as a Dealer Mechanic 

• Additional manufacturer certifications are an asset 

• Experience with ADAS systems preferred 

• Valid driver’s license 

• Commitment to an environment of continuous improvement 

• Strong knowledge of automotive/equipment preventative maintenance, refurbishment and repair practices and procedures 

• Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills 

• Effectively manage a fast-paced environment, demonstrating multi-tasking ability while working under pressure  

• Demonstrates adaptability and openness to change with a proactive mindset in embracing new work practices and technologies  

• Excellent customer service skills combined with outstanding communication and conflict resolution skills 

• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, identify root causes and develop solutions 

• Detail oriented approach with strong organizational skills 

• Ability to take direction and perform well under pressure 

What You’ll get:  

• The salary band for this position ranges from $80,000 to $90,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
