We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal care, confident in clinical procedures, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
Safely restrain animals for exams and procedures
Administer medications and vaccinations under supervision
Collect and process lab samples (blood, fecal, cytology)
Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical prep and recovery
Maintain accurate patient records and medical histories
Educate clients on pet care and treatment plans
Ensure cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, surgical suites, and kennels
Support inventory management and stocking of supplies
High school diploma or equivalent required
1+ years of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting, school or VA program (certificate) preferred
Strong skills in animal handling, restraint, and clinical procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Passion for animal welfare and client education
