Job Description

The desired candidate will be leading a team of DevOps engineers who will be building and supporting Motorola’s subscription business applications leveraging Oracle cloud and on-premise applications. An ideal candidate would be passionate about customer experience and inspire the team to build and create solutions that are a delight for the customers.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Develop and maintain the tools and processes that automate technical systems, ensuring consistency and reliability

  • Define and leverage business-focused KPI (Key performance indicators) to continuously monitor and improve development and operational performance

  • Work closely with software development and support teams to ensure changes in software are smoothly integrated and deployed for users.

  • Investigate and suggest new ways to make the software setup and updates more efficient and dependable.

  • Create a pro-active support mindset where the operations team is identifying and resolving issues before they are experienced by the customers.

  • Work with the L3 and L2 vendor partners to continuously improve the development and support environment by leveraging AI into the development and support processes.

  • Coordinate between multiple departments to ensure smooth software releases, minimizing downtime or disruptions.

  • Increase operational efficiencies by establishing a strong set of KPIs to govern & run the operations

  • Stay updated on trends to keep the tech environment advanced and efficient


Basic Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Education: BS degree in Computer Science and/or related field

  • Experience: 7+ years of professional work experience in IT preferably in a technical role.

  • At least 2+ years of experience of managing a DevOps team.

  • Ability to work on late shifts (14:30-22:30) to cover business needs
