Job Description Summary:

The Sunflower-MOMS Grants Data Coordinator will be responsible for data coordination for a statewide network dedicated to developing and testing a sustainable model for rural obstetrical management strategies to improve maternal-neonatal and infant outcomes for Kansas. The position is a 30 hour a week position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Communication and Outreach

  • Serve as the liaison concerning all data-related issues for network members, Nurse Navigators/Data Abstractors, hospitals outside the network, program partners, and employees.
  • Develop data-related communication materials for Sunflower-MOMS partners, network-level meetings, and/or reporting requirements.
  • Develop timelines for data requests, program evaluation, and reports.
  • Logistics and Administrative Duties

  • Respond to requests for data, organize, and visually present data for review by Project Evaluator and/or HRSA-designated program evaluator.
  • Assure compliance to all data privacy requirements during data sharing between network partners, Project Evaluator, and/or HRSA-designated program evaluator. Ensure safety, security, and integrity of all data files from the Sunflower-MOMS network partners.
  • Prepare data for the Sunflower Health Network, Sunflower-MOMS meetings, Project Evaluator, Project Director, and/or HRSA-designated program evaluator.
  • Assist with the development of a data management system among Sunflower-MOMS network partners, Project Evaluator, and/or HRSA-designated program evaluator.
  • Identify and implement data collection strategies among Sunflower-MOMS network partners, Project Evaluator, and/or HRSA-designated program evaluator.
  • Ensure that data files are properly merged to maintain unique, de-identified, patient-level data.
  • Manage documentation of data to include timely filing of all federal requirements.
  • Fulfill data requests related to preparation of periodic progress reports.
  • Provide support related to data management to the Project Director, Project Evaluator, and Maternal Fetal Medicine experts, and other team members as needed.
  • Manage communication and assist various teams regarding data-related requests, program evaluation, and reporting requirements with Sunflower-MOMS partners, Project Evaluator, and/or HRSA-designated program evaluator.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Experience used to substitute education is in addition to any required work experience.             

Work Experience:

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with database management software (such as Research Electronic Data Capture: REDCap, Microsoft Excel, etc.). in a healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Work Experience:

  • Non-profit, research, or healthcare related experience.

Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills include at least intermediate level experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office Software.
  • Detailed oriented, ability to mult-task, organizational planning, project management and coordination.

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
