Job Description

We are currently looking for a ServiceNow Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, business teams, and technical teams to understand, document, and manage business requirements related to the ServiceNow platform. This role is responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and the ServiceNow development teams to ensure the platform effectively meets business objectives. The Analyst will also be involved in process improvements, creating user stories, and ensuring that delivered solutions align with organizational strategies. This role is a contract opportunity, based in a hybrid enviornment at our Mississauga office and reports to our ITSM Leader, Planning & Project Services.

Requirements Gathering and Analysis: 

  • Work with stakeholders to gather detailed business and functional requirements related to ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, HR, ITOM, ITBM, etc.). 
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and workflow analysis to understand business processes and needs. 
  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams. 

Solution Design and Documentation: 

  • Create detailed business and functional documentation including process flows, user stories, and system requirements. 
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and the ServiceNow team to design solutions that meet business requirements. 
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, aligned with best practices, and can be integrated with existing systems. 

Stakeholder Management: 

  • Act as a liaison between business users, technical teams, and management to ensure that requirements and expectations are clearly communicated. 
  • Facilitate regular meetings, demos, and workshops with key stakeholders to review progress and obtain feedback. 

Process Improvement: 

  • Identify opportunities to improve existing business processes using the ServiceNow platform. 
  • Analyze and optimize workflows, configurations, and integrations to ensure efficient use of ServiceNow. 

Testing and Quality Assurance: 

  • Assist in the creation of test cases and scripts for system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). 
  • Work with the QA team to ensure all requirements are tested and defects are addressed in a timely manner. 
  • Conduct validation sessions with stakeholders to confirm that delivered solutions meet the defined requirements. 

Training and Support: 

  • Provide end-user training and support for new and existing ServiceNow functionalities. 
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer for the teams using ServiceNow. 

Reporting and Analytics: 

  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards in ServiceNow to track key performance metrics and ensure alignment with business goals. 

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with specific experience in ServiceNow implementations. 
  • Deep knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, including experience primarily with ITSM, ITOM, SPM modules. 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and writing user stories is highly desirable. 
  • Certifications: ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist) are a plus. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • Proficient in creating process flow diagrams, user stories, and technical documentation. 
  • Familiarity with database concepts and cloud-based applications. 
  • Ability to use reporting tools within ServiceNow to create dashboards and reports.
