What you will do

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in energy optimization, controls logic, HVAC systems, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles. The ideal candidate will lead the development and enhancement of products that optimize energy usage, improve building control systems, and support sustainable practices.

How you will do it 

Product Strategy and Vision:

• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for energy optimization, controls logic, HVAC, and ESG solutions.

• Identify market needs and opportunities and translate them into product requirements and features.

• Align product objectives with overall company goals and ESG initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with Product Management including engineers, and business leaders to gather and prioritize product requirements.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and updates for the Engineering team.

• Facilitate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of product plans.

Product Development:

• Own, Discover, Define, Design phases of the product development life cycle and actively participate in Develop and Deliver stages of the life cycle. 

• Work closely with engineering and development teams to ensure timely delivery of product features and enhancements.

• Utilize agile methodologies to manage product backlogs, prioritize features, and track progress.

• Communicate with cross functional teams and ensure dependencies, key risks and issues are identified, documented, mitigated, and communicated to appropriate stakeholders promptly.

Market Analysis and Competitive Research:

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.

• Evaluate and incorporate customer feedback to drive continuous product improvement and innovation.

Energy Optimization and ESG Integration:

• Ensure that product solutions effectively optimize energy usage and contribute to sustainability goals.

• Integrate ESG principles into product design and functionality to support corporate sustainability objectives.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success and impact.

• Monitor product performance and make data-driven decisions to enhance product effectiveness.

What we look for

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, with a focus on energy optimization, controls logic, HVAC systems, or ESG.

• Proven track record of managing complex products and leading cross-functional teams.

• Strong understanding of energy management systems, HVAC technology, and ESG principles.

• Basic understanding in cloud architecture, micro services design, APIs, AI driven analytics and software technologies which integrate multiple systems using industry-wide software standards.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with agile development methodologies and product management tools.

• Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions based on insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with smart building technologies and IoT integration.

• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance related to energy and sustainability.

• Familiarity with advanced analytics and machine learning techniques in the context of energy optimization.
