Team Description: Sabre LGS (Lodging, Ground & Sea) product area is looking for talented Senior Database Engineer who can help us design, development, and optimization of PL/SQL queries, procedures, functions, triggers, and design and maintain database schemas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, development, and optimization of PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and packages to support application requirements.
• Review and optimize complex SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performance and efficiency, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate closely with application developers to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient PL/SQL code.
• Work with data architects, developers and database administrators to design and maintain database schemas that align with application requirements.
• Create and manage logical and physical data models, ensuring data integrity and performance by utilizing tools like Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler
• Define and enforce coding standards and guidelines for PL/SQL development, conducting regular code reviews to maintain code quality.
• Optimize stored procedures and queries for large datasets, ensuring efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
• Automate complex processes using SQL/PLSQL. 
• Conduct code reviews and participate in technical design.
• Analyse complex business problems, track down required information, document requirements, and develop technical solutions;
• Support business customers by providing insight into data structures.
• MongoDB, Other databases development, design and performance tuning.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Oracle development environment.
• Experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL packages, Procedures.
• Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization.
• Knowledge of Oracle database architecture and design.
• Experience of database development for large scale complex applications running on Google cloud platform.
• Exposure to ITIL Processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.

Mandatory Skills:

• Expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.

• Experience in developing and optimizing ETL processes for seamless data integration and migration between different data sources and databases.

• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex database-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
