eBay, Inc. seeks Business Analytics 4 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Develop a deep understanding of checkout ecosystem and provide recommendations to improve user experience. Structure complex, ambiguous business questions and utilize analytical skills to synthesize actionable insights to the benefit of leaders in the organization. Discover new opportunities to grow and optimize the business through analytics, financial modeling, and business case development. Design, plan, and execute methodologies to measure successes of business initiatives in partnership with payments product and business teams. Collaborate with other analysts/data scientists and help guide strategy based on learning from other analyses/projects across the organization. Work closely across the matrix with teams like Finance, Marketing, Product, Engineering and senior executives.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered, as a business analyst, or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

1.    Using Data Mining and Text Mining to identify insights from underlying data.
2.    Using Python to do linear and logistic regressions for product impact analyses. 
3.    Using Hadoop to enable data querying.
4.    Using Linear/Logistic regressions to measure the impact of various factors on any product launch. 
5.    Using Time series analyses to determine financial impact of payments core metrics. 
6.    Using SQL to query enterprise data warehouse. 
7.    Using A/B testing to guide payments and product partner teams on interpreting results of experimentation.
8.    Using Data visualization to create self-service reporting.
9.    Using Segmentation to identify groups of users that are most likely to respond to a campaign/product, or are the drivers behind usage of a product.

Base Salary: $140,000-205,700 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
