Title: Social Sales and Events Manager

Job Summary: The Social Sales and Events Manager is responsible for generating revenue by soliciting, booking, and up-selling weddings, mitzvahs, and other social events. This role manages event planning, catering services, and banquet facilities while developing new business opportunities to meet sales goals. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of weddings and social events, with a focus on building client relationships to drive hotel revenue.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Prospect for new social event business through solicitation, networking, and cold-calling.
Improve hotel visibility by conducting outside sales calls, attending trade shows, and participating in market-related events.
Design and execute marketing promotions and campaigns, including direct mail, social media, and advertisements.
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals and profit margins.
Maintain an active list of accounts to ensure continuous relationship development and repeat business.
Develop and execute aggressive monthly action plans to drive sales growth.
Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate group needs, VIP clients, and event functions.
Maintain client satisfaction and secure repeat business through excellent service and loyalty-building efforts.
Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Ensure regular attendance and compliance with company dress code standards.
Communicate effectively with clients and hotel teams to ensure successful event execution.
Maintain knowledge of industry and market trends, particularly among competitors.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of management experience in Social Group Sales and/or Catering Sales.
OR a 4-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of social events, including weddings, mitzvahs, and other special occasions.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
Proficiency in creating and executing marketing campaigns, including direct mail, social media, and ads.
Experience with SalesPro and Hilton OnQ systems is preferred.
Ability to manage multiple events and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in planning and executing events.
Work Environment:
Primarily indoor office work with frequent interaction with clients, internal teams, and vendors.
Occasional travel to attend trade shows, client meetings, and sales events.
Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet client and event needs.
