ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Application Ownership / Strategic Engineering Support

  • Act as the IT Application Owner for assigned InfoSec platforms, including IS Log Broker and Tripwire ensuring operational stability, scalability, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with PCI, SOX, and core infrastructure teams including Database Services, Virtualization Engineering, and Endpoint Support
  • Coordinate with application teams to plan the onboarding of new log sources and drive alignment with record retention requirements
  • Coordinate with Operations team to oversee lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, documentation, monitoring, and configuration standards.
  • Support the Bank's operational information security responsibilities, including the development maintenance of standards, procedures, and guidelines necessary to satisfy the Information Security department's network operations.
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and determine the impact of proposed changes to business processes, applications and systems.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external auditors, as required, to respond to audits and examinations of the Bank's control environment.
  • Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to embed security tooling into broader enterprise initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC2) and internal security policies.
  • Seek and maintain knowledge (cross/up skill) of current and upcoming IT security technologies.
  • Share knowledge with peers and mentor more junior members of the team.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree a plus.
  • Industry Standard Certifications such as, but not limited to: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network +, CompTIA Security +, ISC2 CISSP, and EWS preferred.
  • Four+ years of IT work experience relevant to the position, including at least two+ years in a hands-on information security development role.
  • Must be able to communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to management, business and IT sponsors, and technical resources in language that is appropriate for each group.

  • Experience working with and supporting Unix/Linux and Windows systems.
  • Experience with scripting languages and regex/pattern matching
  • Experience with Information Security tools (ownership, backlog management, enhancements).
  • Understanding of IT application ownership (lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, monitoring).
  • Solid conceptual understanding of distributed computing principles.
  • Working knowledge of application and data security concepts, best practices, and common vulnerabilities.
  • Financial industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma a plus
  • Experience with FluentD, FluentBit, and Splunk a plus.
  • Experience with Tripwire and ServiceNow a plus.

Total Base Pay Range 71,100.00 - 145,900.00 USD Annual
