Job Summary:
As a senior product owner within the Digital Supply Chain, you are responsible for leading the development of Network Planning and Execution tool, specifically Supply Planning module, to enable supplier planning and constraint processes. You will be the subject matter expert of this application leading the design, development, implementation and deployment of required capabilities to meet current and future requirements of supply planning. Desired candidates will know supply chain processes and how to automate them with technology. Provides day-to-day support to internal and external customers (suppliers, procurement and facility / product group supply chain professionals) in relation to product questions, and problem resolution.
What You Will Do (Job Duties):
• Collaborates with process owners and leaders within SPPD and Procurement Verticals to gather functional requirements and translate/prioritize into development packages working with the technology supplier.
• Leads with the technology supplier to design, configure, validate and deploy enhancements in support of additional capabilities.
• Collaborates with business process team, Cat IT, and data stewards and scientists to follow through on execution of selected projects on time, on budget, and on scope.
• Leads development of standard work and support training initiatives for the user community to facilitate the utilization and adoption of the platform.
• Identifies, documents, and fixes design, reliability, data quality and maintenance problems and bugs. Gathers and consolidates feedback from customers and process partners.
• Coordinates with business support specialists and customers to address and resolve problems and expand product usage.
• Develops and maintains a product roadmap for near term/tactical and long term/strategic projects for continuous improvement of the application.
• Maintains product KPIs and reports out to stakeholders on a monthly basis.
• Accountable for overall product quality including leading User Acceptance Testing and Validation related to new capability deployments.
• Accountable for end users adoption including supporting development of communication and change management plans to increase tool usage with target user group.
Educational Requirement:
4-year degree within the engineering or technology space- industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, supply chain management, computer science, computer engineering

• Collects, documents, and maintains product functional requirements; makes recommendations.
• Supports and participates in major installations and customizations.

• Has knowledge of all advanced business features and functions of the product.
• Relates experiences with unusual or non-traditional uses; assesses opportunities and challenges.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
• Compares and contrasts features and benefits of major acceptance testing frameworks.
• Critiques user acceptance plans for appropriateness and completeness.
• Develops approaches for acceptance testing following legal or contractual agreements.
• Monitors end-users in defining the testing environment and acceptance criteria; explains the importance of being actively involved in test designs and other testing phases.
• Applies user acceptance testing in typical software development scenarios.
• Consults on test strategies, components, processes, plans and approaches during the user acceptance testing process.
Top Candidates will also have:
Masters degree in Engineering or Business and/or certifications in Supply Chain Management area
Understanding of Caterpillar’s supply network, materials management, supply planning, and S&OP processes
Be digital minded, to understand and leverage the underlying technologies / digital solutions to drive business process transformation.

The location for this position is Mossville, IL.
