This program is designed for students currently pursuing a two- or four-year degree, who have completed a portion of their curriculum, and will be completing their program after the internship experience. It is not designed for graduates.

Falkirk views this position as an opportunity to expose an Information Technology (or related) student to work experience relating to the support and advancement of technology infrastructure and related environments. The successful candidate will work with our innovative Information Systems team in pursuit of their goal of achieving exceptional support and continued cost-effective development of industry leading systems. This candidate will be energetic, personable, and able to work efficiently in a group setting or independently as directed.

Job Description:
 

3 or 8-month positions (May 2025 through August 2025 – 3-month Intern)

                                    (May 2025 through December 2025 – 8-month Intern)

Potential Duties/Tasks:

  • Facilitate and advance innovative ideas into action.
  • Design and develop applications to advance business processes.
  • Network and server administration tasks.
  • Workstation configuration and deployment.
  • Help assist and support all field technologies (drones, high precision GPS, real-time monitoring, radios, etc.).
  • Perform maintenance on all computer equipment and related peripherals.
  • Responsible for local inventory maintenance and software license management.
  • MSHA law/safety/environmental – Perform job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures, and state and federal environmental regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The successful candidate should have a strong interest in technology. A valid driver license is required.

Educational Requirements:

Enrolled in one of the following accredited programs and in good academic standing.

  • Management Information Systems                                          
  • Computer Information Systems
  • Applied Business Information Technology
  • Information Technology Management
  • Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering
  • Cybersecurity and Computer Networks
  • Electronics/Telecommunications Technology

Starting Salary:  $25.03 – 28.16 (Hourly)

Starting Date:  May of 2025

End Date:  August of 2025 or December of 2025
