Role/Purpose:

The Director is responsible for curriculum development, writing educational content and delivering customer training to drive growth and support the sales process. They will act as strategists, content developers and presenters and contribute to building educational plans that drive business development goals in targeted countries. Overall they will be ambassadors for CME Group as through their educational activities, they will reach thousands of current and potential market participants around the globe. Moreover, the educator will play a key role in the lead generation and sales cycle with success contingent on the amount of marketing qualified leads generated, opportunities created for sales and ultimately the amount of revenue these leads and opportunities create.

The role requires a deep understanding of the futures markets, CME Group products and of the various customer segments that trade our markets. They are responsible for creating content around product and trading strategies and need to possess the ability and skills to teach. They will have excellent writing, speaking, presentation and communications skills, ability to create curriculum and managing/measuring work.

Principal Accountabilities:
1. Create educational content to be delivered in a variety of mediums.
- Responsible for outlining curriculum given their product and operational expertise
- Develop quizzes and tests to support curriculum accreditation
- Script write for digital video with the support of Digital Content Manager
- Edit/write supporting educational content for web or articles
- Create presentations for live training at events or client offices
- Work with Client Development and Sales, Research and Product Development and Business Line Management teams to develop above stated content and/or to help validate curriculum
- Identify educational training opportunities given shifts in market dynamics and present plans to the business for approval
- Proactively identify market trends and “in the moment” educational opportunities and create scripts around this content
- Work with Client Development and Sales and Regional Leads to develop specific firm/account/country training needs that tie to short and medium term revenue opportunities (drive educational strategy for target country plans)

2. Deliver educational content to existing and potential market participants
- Work with sales on account planning and business growth plans to create and deliver bespoke client training events
- Develop in person educational programming and deliver training via CME Group hosted educational events (in-person events or digitally delivered events such as webinars or virtual classrooms)
- Present at industry associations and organizations conferences/events
- Create digital programming that supports overall educational strategy (e.g. teaching moments, weekly recorded program with external trader)

3. Act as relationship owner to key industry organizations and associations
- Manage and develop relationships with industry partner organizations that aid business development and nurturing traders into our lead generation process
- Develop an edu plan with these associations and weave into country plans and other go-to-market strategies (marketing/sales)

4. Create and follow through on sales opportunities created through educational activities
- Training is designed to support the sales process and success will be measured on ability to create leads, onboarding clients to an incentive program, and drive revenue via trading behavior
- Responsible for tracking opportunities in Salesforce
