Job Summary

Job Description

Oversee the administration and compliance activities of the assigned Foreign-Trade Zone(s) to ensure compliance with all internal policies/procedures, the Foreign Trade Zones Board and U. S. Customs Rules and Regulations. - Prepare and submit Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) related customs forms and supporting documentation. Complete Customs and Border Protection (CBP) forms, manifest discrepancy reports, annual FTZ Board reports, customs annual reconciliation etc. - Manage and operate FTZ management software by executing daily inventory balances and resolve inventory discrepancies within the zone. - Develop, implement, enhance and maintain FTZ policies, procedures and related work instructions. - Interact with and maintain relationships with zone Grantee, broker, CBP, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other governmental agencies as related to FTZ operations. - Conduct periodic training of facility personnel on FTZ activities, and advise Facility management of issues regarding permitted and prohibited activities, physical security, boundaries, and required regulatory marking for the FTZ. - Maintain Key Performance Indicator's for FTZ activities and service providers. - Provide backup to the Customs Compliance Analyst. (approximately 20 % of all scheduled hours are utilized in this function.) And much more! Education - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Relevant Work Experience - At least 5 years related experience; Logistics, Import operations, Foreign Trade Zone management, Customs brokerage, or Import/Export Compliance. Additional - Technical expertise in global trade (import and export) regulations, classification, valuation, country of origin, duty preference programs, sanctioned party screening and antiboycott restrictions Preferred Qualifications Certification / Licensure - Licensed Customs broker or professional compliance certification (IIEI).

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$67,000.00 - $101,000.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
