Responsibilities

The SAP SD/MM Support Manager is responsible for developing and implementing solutions, supporting production applications and the review and recommendation of new applications. This position will leverage SAP to support Sales and Distribution, and Materials Management best practices within the SAP landscape. This is a hands-on role that will execute SD and MM configuration, functional documentation, developing system requirements, business process design, all SD/MM related testing, integration testing, system documentation and training including training materials and support procedures.  This position will office in Terrell, TX and report to the Director, Applications Support. Minimal travel to Alabama is anticipated.

  • Provide business analysis and process redesign expertise in SAP SD/MM functionality.
  • SAP configuration, implementation and support including Sales Order Processing, Pricing, Billing, Customer and Product Hierarchies, Logistics Execution, Credit and Risk Management, Output Types configuration/ setup, EDI design and maintenance, and FI/CO postings.
  • Understand the integration points within ECC environment including but not limited to SD, VC, QM, WM, FI, MM, as well as external systems.
  • Configure SAP functionality to satisfy business requirements and business process design.
  • Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflows as they relate to the SD/MM components of SAP.
  • Support peripheral systems and interfaces related to the Sales and Distribution and Materials Management function.
  • Design and execute test plans to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are implemented properly and meet business objectives.
  • Develop business relationships to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with representatives throughout the company.
  • Resolve incidents across the SAP platform.
  • Provide primary end user support and solutions for the SAP SD/MM modules and user community. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of end user problems as well as performing routine system maintenance checks and corrective actions.
  • Manage 3-5 direct reports in the areas of material/customer/vendor master data maintenance, other associated data objects, EDI, and Quote to Cash processes.
  • Must be able to communicate with systems user community and management in a simple convincing manner and on all levels with peers.
  • Promote company culture.
  • Achieve common business goals through cooperative alignment with all departments. Candidate will periodically prepare and conduct SAP training.

Experience and Education Requirements

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of applicable SAP SD and MM functional experience required.
  • Completion of minimum three SAP implementations.
  • Project management principles, methodology, and proficiency required.
  • Integration knowledge with FICO, COPA, WMS, and EDI helpful.
  • Technical ability to work within application framework to configure applications that meet the needs of the business.
  • Strong understanding of business system design in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately and quickly complete deliverables with efficient use of system resources.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and support.
  • In-depth SAP SD or MM experience required.
  • In-depth understanding of integration points with other SAP modules.
  • Microsoft Office Suite applications proficiency.

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field or job experience equivalent to degree.
