This role combines strategic leadership in Records & Information Management (RIM) and Operations Risk & Control Governance across the Asia Segment. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust RIM program while driving effective risk and control governance initiatives. The role requires collaboration with diverse business units and stakeholders to ensure compliance with global policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

Position Responsibilities:

Records & Information Management (RIM)

  • Lead the Asia Segment RIM Program, ensuring alignment with Global RIM Policy and local regulations.

  • Maintain and update the Record Retention Schedule for the Asia Segment.

  • Provide strategic and tactical guidance to Business Unit Record Coordinators (BURCs).

  • Manage lifecycle of records (creation to disposition), including physical and electronic formats.

  • Oversee record hold processes in collaboration with Legal and eDiscovery teams.

  • Drive initiatives for archival and destruction of records across systems, SharePoint sites, and storage vendors.

  • Maintain RIM procedures and documentation in the Data Lifecycle Management SharePoint.

  • Respond to internal and external audit requests related to RIM.

  • Provide regular updates to Global and Segment Steering Committees.

  • Support SharePoint and IT teams in archiving, decommissioning, and setting retention standards for infrastructure and data.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and global best practices in record management.

Operations Risk & Control Governance

  • lead the policy cascade from GORRO and establish implementation framework for markets

  • ensure timely refresh and adherence to standards, frameworks and guidelines

  • Provide expert guidance and oversight on risk and control matters across Asia markets.

  • Prepare governance meeting materials and management reports.

  • Promote risk awareness and deliver training across the region.

  • Engage with stakeholders across Operations, 2LOD, and 3LOD to ensure effective risk management.

Required Qualification:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in records management, risk and control, compliance, or audit within financial services.

  • Degree in Records/Information Management or related field preferred.

  • Deep understanding of operational processes, risk frameworks, and records lifecycle.

  • Strong project management and analytical skills.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; knowledge of SharePoint and data lifecycle systems is a plus.

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in other Asian languages is an asset.

  • Professional certifications in risk management, auditing, or compliance are advantageous.

  • Experience in managing large-scale archival and destruction projects.

  • Familiarity with insurance operations and regulatory environments across Asia.

  • Proven ability to work in a global, matrixed organization.
