Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Introduction 

The [Manager, On Demand Delivery, Acceleration Data Team] will leverage your natural curiosity and knowledge of data capabilities to lead data analytics and reporting projects within our End 2 End Delivery Business.  We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join our team and help shape the data and reporting work that is provided to the rest of the organization.  You will work with key business stakeholders and team members to identify problems and deliver insights and reporting that influence how we make decisions that have impact at scale.  In this role you will be part of a quickly growing part of the business and will help enable expansion and decision making.

On Demand Delivery works on fulfilling customer demand for everything in the store at the comfort of their home. We want our customers to have every option available to shop for their needs: wherever, whenever, and however they want it. We are leveraging technology we have within our company and managing partnerships as needed to give our customers the convenience they want when shopping.  Our On Demand Delivery programs are a critical part of our business.

You’ll make an impact by: 

  • Processing complicated and large-scale datasets
  • Extracting insights from data, tracking trends, and optimizing business metrics.
  • Building dashboards and reporting to support the business in key performance initiatives
  • Building compelling data visualizations and interactive dashboards for monitoring and sharing business insights
  • Create alerting mechanisms for behavioral insights
  • Having cross-functional collaboration across product, business, engineering, and other stakeholders

You’ll sweep us off your feet if

  • You have strong business communication skills, both written and verbal; with ability to communicate / present to business teams, also ability to express complex technical topics clearly & easily
  • You should possess a strong business acumen, connecting the business needs to your knowledge of data science theories and methodologies to derive the best approach that is fit-for-purpose
  • You have at least 2 years experience in Tableau, Python, or other data analytics and reporting tools
  • You have experience in common machine learning techniques and forecasting models and have strong understanding of probability and statistical models
  • You have the proven ability as a data analyst who develops, optimizes, and enhance analyses using large data sets, reporting, and/or models
  • You're an inquisitive, out-of-the box thinker who's continually on the lookout for opportunities to improve and innovate data science solutions
  • You have consistently high standards, your passion for quality is inherent in everything that you do
  • You have the courage to fail fast

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Machine Learning or related field plus
  • 2-5 years experience in data analytics and reporting
  • Strong hands-on skills in sourcing, cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing large volumes of data using distributed computing platform and visualization tools (Python, R, SQL, Spark, Hive, Tableau etc.)
  • Experienced with traditional as well as modern data analytics and statistical techniques
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to build partnerships across stakeholders and team members
  • Strong business acumen

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
