  • We’re looking for someone to support the management and quality of Finance and Risk data through establishing and enhancing an appropriate data management framework
  • You’ll be implementing and supporting programmes of work to strategically improve data management, and initiating and executing tactical data remediation

What you'll do

As a Risk & Finance Data Governance Analyst, you’ll be helping to improve data management capability to enable accurate and complete data being provided to our businesses, and to external stakeholders. You’ll also be ensuring a robust data management framework is established that is compliant with internal policies and regulatory standards.

In addition, you’ll be:

  • Providing assurance on risk data to enable sign-off of internal returns and external disclosures
  • Providing a high-quality data service to business divisions and Risk and Finance functions that includes explanations, investigations, guidance and data quality MI
  • Making sure the function moves towards compliance with the bank’s data management policy and any externally-imposed data management standards
  • Working with Risk and Finance functions and executives, and with colleagues in other functions and franchises, to drive improvements to the management and quality of risk data

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have a strong analytical background from a data driven environment. You’ll also have an understanding of risk management, including credit, market and operational risk, and capital reporting concepts. Additionally, we’ll expect you to have the ability to work to tight deadlines, work flexibly and adapt well to changes in priorities.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • Experience of data interrogation skills
  • Knowledge of the bank’s key risk systems, data and reporting
  • An understanding of policy and regulations pertaining to data and its management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with good attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills, appropriate for all levels of the bank, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple manner
