Director, Business Technology Solutions Finance

Description -

The Finance Director is responsible for supporting HP-CIO, leading the finance function for Business Technology Solutions, complex business or a major finance sub-function within a large, complex business. The role drives the planning, implementation, and communication of finance initiatives, oversees Business Technology investment portfolio, external vendor relationships, and plays a key role in business-wide program implementation. The role develops and maintains financial policies, ensuring strategic alignment, and serves as a key advisor to executive management.

Responsibilities
• Leads the finance function for a mid-sized, complex business, or for a major finance sub-function within one of organization’s largest, most complex businesses.
• Develops and leads planning, design, implementation, communication, and delivery of the organization's finance initiatives within area of accountability across the organization.
• Allocates financial and human capital for programs and projects and ensures timely and effective delivery of financial programs.
• Drives process improvement and policy development projects that have a significant impact on the function's efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversees and manages extensive external vendor relationships, ensuring smooth collaboration and optimized services.
• Leads implementation of business-wide programs and products, playing a pivotal role in their integration and deployment across the organization.
• Develops and maintains policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the company for all financial and tracking metrics.
• Oversees operational success, aligns strategies, integrates activities with major organizational functions, and owns numerous measurable goals.
• Serves as a key advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction of the business, while also developing organizational policies and authorizing their implementation.
• Performs talent management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management, coaching and career development.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 12+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in financial management, internal audit, accounting, or a related field.
