What you will do:

As the Total Solutions Marketing Manager you will help spearhead all marketing efforts for Johnson Controls’ Data Centers team. You will need to get a deep understanding of each of JCI’s Data Center target audiences’ challenges and  succinctly explain how our product solutions help solve problems. Through close collaborations with product owners, marketing content designers and writers, and product developers, you will shape effective marketing content across product domains and regions.

 How you will do it:

  • Take a lead role in establishing and deploying holistic Data Centers marketing strategy for JCI across a variety areas including account based marketing, storytelling, thought leadership, industry events, and content.

  • Be a thought partner to the Head of Data Centers marketing, and play a pivotal role in pushing Data Centers marketing at Johnson Controls to the next level.

  • Play a key role in helping improve performance, processes, and interlocks within marketing and across company functions to allow for a Data Centers marketing capability that spans across product domains and global regions.

  • Keep a pulse on the global Data Centers business and competitive landscape, connecting the dots with others across the company to determine actions required to meet our goals.

  • Shape product marketing campaigns that target prospective and existing customers

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally

  • Convert prospects into paying customers through consistent communications

  • Lead product marketing content development, working with many internal stakeholders to craft a consistent storytelling vision and voice

  • Outline product marketing deployment timelines

  • Educate other departments on current product messaging

  • Manage team’s product marketing campaigns

  • Design and execute communications to amplify the marketing team’s wins in order to build internal credibility and visibility.

  • Demonstrate a high degree of emotional intelligence and ability to influence without authority to navigate complex dynamics. Be flexible, resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, and adaptable to a high-change environment.

  • Communicate effectively and foster collaboration among multiple stakeholders and business functions with varying perspectives.

Required

  • Marketing-focused bachelor's degree and/or management consulting experience.

  • High energy, self-motivated, collaborative work style.

  • Exceptional project management and PowerPoint skills.

  • Significant leadership and relationship-building ability, with proven success in influencing and leading without authority.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with high integrity.

  • Data-driven strategic thinker with strong analytical, communication, and listening skills.

Preferred

  • Marketing-focused MBA.
