Payroll Assistant in Svitzer Europe

Are you a master of numbers, deadlines and making sure people get paid on time? Do you have experience with payroll and salary administration? Do you enjoy a flexible work schedule? Then you may be our new colleague for a Payroll Assistant role in Svitzer Europe.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and structured Payroll Assistant to join a small team with engaged and professional colleagues in our Danish office in Svendborg. You will primarily be responsible for 270 monthly salaried employees both on- and offshore across Europe. The position entails payroll processing, reporting and data management, and you will be reporting directly to the Head of Employee Relations. The position is part-time at approximately 60 %, with the opportunities of a flexible work schedule.

Key responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation and processing of payroll for approx. 270 employees (on- and offshore)
  • Preparing and executing payments
  • Providing financial analyses
  • Ensuring that systems are up to date and focus on system optimization
  • Communicating with providers
  • Assisting employees in questions regarding payroll
  • Follow up on sick and maternity leave

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate would match these selection criteria:

  • Excellent understanding of accounting and numbers
  • Experience in payroll and/or relevant education in e.g. finance, HR or payroll
  • Strong abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve payroll issues effectively
  • Ability to handle tasks independently and with confidence
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality
  • Fluency in Danish and English, both oral and written
  • German language knowledge is an advantage, as some contracts are in German
  • Proficiency in systems such as OMEGA and D365 is an advantage
