Job Description Summary

The Product Lifecycle Program Management Leader will oversee a strategic program management team that drives key initiatives within our organization.
This role requires exceptional leadership abilities, a strong background in program management, a One Team attitude. Desired abilities include high-level strategic thinking, excellent communication skills with a focus on distilling complex information to clear, concise reports for executive-level consumption. The ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders is a must, as well as manage a team across multiple time zones.
This individual will be responsible for driving rigor and process across the Controls Product Line, leading Lean initiatives, maintaining bowlers, and managing the R&D portfolio to ensure balanced budgets and proper prioritization.
They will be key in executing strategic rhythms, collaborating with product managers to maintain the Long-Term Strategy for Controls, as well as in-year progress aligned with that strategy. In addition to leading a team, they will be the focal for the Controls R&D portfolio with the broader Product Management organization, representing the team in SLT reviews, R&D Council, and other rhythms.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:  

  • Lead a geographically dispersed team of strategic program managers, ensuring success of the Controls product line lifecycle across all functions

  • Manage the R&D portfolio for Controls Product Management, supporting strategy and budget planning, tracking and maintaining the in-year financials, and ensuring integrity of the R&D milestones

  • Leverage and improve program management fundamentals; be accountable for the scope, budget & and timely delivery of desired outcomes

  • Form strong working relationships within informal cross-functional teams to drive progress

  • Lead cross-functional efforts to improve process and reduce waste, with a focus on Lean methodology

  • Drive broad awareness of on-going efforts, including providing strong communication of progress, risks, & outcomes to senior leadership

  • Ensure tight coordination, synergy, and no duplication of work across various pivot-to-value (P2V), product development, integration, and Supply Chain programs.

  • Embrace & propagate lean principles throughout the organization to drive on-going continuous improvement.

  • Keep working teams organized and stakeholders informed of on-going efforts and needs through strong communications

  • Act as a mentor & resource for the team, removing roadblocks and delivering constructive feedback/coaching when needed

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or a business related discipline, or equivalent experience (4+ years in a technology focused role)

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for internal and customer engagements (<20%)

  • Broad understanding of Controls products, services, processes, tools, and organizational structure, with working knowledge of controls

  • Ability to lead and motivate teams within a diverse, matrixed global organization

  • Strong process analysis, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills

  • Ability to prioritize independently and deliver results in a resource constrained environment

  • Proven ability to drive change and challenge the status quo coupled with lean experience and a continuous improvement mindset

  • Strong business acumen and judgment to navigate complex projects, markets, and customer needs while offering innovative solutions

  • Decisive, data driven, and comfortable making independent decisions in ambiguous situations

  • Demonstrated people leadership experience

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $134,000.00 and $223,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
