We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design and assembly process development for our next-generation 1.6T optical transceiver modules. The successful candidate will play a key role in translating system requirements into robust mechanical solutions that ensure superior performance, manufacturability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical design of 1.6T optical modules, including housing, heat dissipation, optics alignment structures, and PCB integration.

• Develop and optimize assembly processes for high-volume manufacturing, covering precision alignment, bonding, soldering, and sealing.

• Conduct mechanical tolerance analysis, thermal analysis, and reliability assessment to ensure design robustness.

• Work closely with electrical, optical, and manufacturing teams to ensure cross-functional design compatibility and smooth product ramp-up.

• Collaborate with suppliers and CM partners to define mechanical specifications, tooling, and assembly fixtures.

• Support design reviews, failure analysis, and continuous improvement of product yield and manufacturability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and process development for optical, communication, or precision electronic products.

• Proficient in 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and GD&T.

• Strong understanding of thermal design, tolerance stack-up, and high-precision assembly.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
