Senior Software Engineer F/T

Overview
Build features used by some of the world's largest organizations to make multi-million-dollar decisions.
Role.
• Lead and push the boundaries of analytics and powerful, scalable applications.
• Identifying non-functional requirements for features as well as designing technical implementations.
• Collaborate across teams with exceptional peers who are passionate about what they do.
• Lead and push the boundaries of how we scale our platform and development approach.
• Mentor and provide guidance to other team members.
• Design and build APIs and infrastructure that serves a broad audience.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability through code reviews and automated testing.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks at various levels of the stack, including database queries, API calls, and front-end rendering.

About You
• Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics or a related field, or related and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or as a Software Engineer, Test & Learn Software Development Engineer or related field.
• Qualifying experience must include at least one (1) year with each of the following: Full stack engineering experience in Agile production environment; Advanced object-oriented programming; Microservice development; Databases; Analyzing performance characteristics in technical systems; Implementing technical solutions to improve performance; APIs and/or other software infrastructure.
• Rate of Pay - $127,500 - $169,000/ year

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Ranges

Arlington, Virginia: $106,000 - $169,000 USD
