Print Security & Manageability Product Manager

Description -

This role is open to anywhere in the US.

HP Digital Services helps organizations drive transformative business processes and improve employee productivity through a mix of solutions and services. Our focus is on enhancing user experiences, empowering IT, securing every aspect of the print environment, and delivering comprehensive manageability solutions to streamline operations.

We are seeking a Print Security and Manageability Product Manager with deep expertise in both print security and device management to lead the development of solutions that address the complex challenges of securing and managing print environments across industries. If you are passionate about print security and manageability, join our team and play a pivotal role in advancing our initiatives.

As the Print Security and Manageability Product Manager, you will define and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for both security and manageability solutions. You will serve as the bridge between market teams, customers, and engineering, translating market trends and customer needs into solutions that secure and streamline print management. You will also partner with stakeholders to evangelize the product vision and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Innovation

  • Define the product strategy for both print security and manageability by conducting detailed customer needs analysis and staying abreast of industry trends to drive innovation.
  • Develop solutions that not only enhance the security of print devices on the network but also simplify their manageability, providing IT administrators with intuitive tools to monitor and control device performance.

Roadmap Development

  • Build near and long-term product roadmaps for security and manageability software, validating these with key customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment between the security aspects of the roadmap (network security, ports, protocols) and manageability (remote monitoring, centralized updates, fleet reporting).

Portfolio Strengthening

  • Identify gaps in the current product portfolio and develop new solutions that integrate security and manageability to meet customer requirements for both secure printing and effective device management.
  • Establish technology partnerships that enhance the security and manageability capabilities of the portfolio.

Product Specifications

  • Work with design and engineering teams to develop user experiences that simplify device management while addressing critical security concerns.
  • Define feature specifications for both security (e.g., secure port management, protocol hardening) and manageability (e.g., fleet management tools), making data-driven prioritization decisions.

Feature Development

  • Lead the execution and delivery of features for security and manageability products, collaborating closely with engineering teams to mitigate risks and ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.

Evangelize the Product

  • Evangelize the vision for both print security and manageability solutions to strategic customers and partners.
  • Create relevant collateral and tools to communicate the value of these features, helping sales teams demonstrate the combined benefits of security and manageability.

Collaboration

  • Foster strong relationships with key market stakeholders to identify critical use cases for security and manageability, gather feedback, and continuously improve product capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams across the organization, including engineering, UX, and marketing, to bring security and manageability solutions to market.

Market Intelligence

  • Stay up to date with market intelligence, becoming an expert on competitors’ print security and manageability solutions.
  • Strategize on how to surpass competitors by delivering a combined security and manageability solution that enhances customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in IT, Print Security, or device manageability product management, strategy, or related roles.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or CEH are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing security and manageability strategies within print environments.
  • Strong understanding of current security threats, compliance standards, and best practices in both Print Security and enterprise-level device management.
  • Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams to drive initiatives that secure and streamline print environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts related to both security and device management to diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement in security and manageability practices
