Sanofi is hiring key contributors to onboard Sanofi Digital transformation journey and to embrace the Digital capabilities. SAP systems are a key component of this digital transformation. SANOFI has an important number of SAP systems, and one of the main objectives of the SAP HUB is to extract, union and provide data of these SAPs for the different consumers (Data Foundations, Data Products, IA, Reporting, …).

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in data modelling, data engineering, with also a knowledge on SAP technical aspects.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain all components of data engineering solutions and pipelines based on requirements and design specifications using appropriate tools and technologies
• Optimize solutions (ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) / data pipelines) to balance performance, functionality, cost, and other operational requirements
• Work with business and products actors inside a team following Agile methodology to understand and decompose high level business requirements, and translate them into technical needs and implement them
• Develop automated tests for CI/CD pipelines
• Create design and development documentation based on standards for knowledge transfer, training, and maintenance
• Contribute towards supporting the Data Objects as needed that are in Production

About you

Functional Requirements & Qualifications:

• Experience working with cross-functional teams to solve complex data architecture and engineering problems.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new data and software engineering technologies.
• Good understanding of agile/scrum development processes and concepts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong technical analysis and problem-solving skills related to data and technology solutions.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate ideas, concepts, and solutions to peers and leaders.
• Pragmatic and capable of solving complex issues with technical intuition and attention to detail.
• Service-oriented, flexible, and approachable team player.
• Basic knowledge of SAP

Technical Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, integration, data warehousing, business intelligence, business analytics, or a comparable role with relevant technologies and tools, such as Informatica  Cloud and SAP.
• understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell scripting).
• Experience with SAP Technical aspect linked to data (se16) is a plus
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake is a plus).
• Experience with SAP SAC is a plus
• Proficient in SQL and relational database technologies/concepts.
• Experience working with data models and query tuning.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Engineering

Languages

• Fluent spoken and written English
