Position Title:

Payment Innovation Manager

Job Description:

This position is hybrid and will require the associate to report to the office at least 1-2 times per week. The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

Payment Innovation Manager

The Payment Innovation Manager will be responsible for Payment Innovation/payment model business solution research, design, development and ongoing strategy.

How will you make an impact: 

  •  Supporting Payment Innovation Directors in designing and/or modifying value-based programs.
  •  Conceives innovative payment solutions for healthcare providers thru provider collaboration, providing guidance on the development of payment systems and how provider contracting drives provider behavior. 
  • Coordinating and leading cross-department meetings.
  • Conducting month-over-month and year-over-year program evaluation.
  • Works with business owner and other business partner to develop Payment Innovation solutions, pilot and launch strategic activities.
  • Analyzing market and competitive data, supports collection of business requirements, business case and ROI analysis. 
  • In addition to supporting the ongoing administration of value-based programs, the Payment Innovation Manager shall also develop industry leading subject matter expertise through independent research and the mentorship of Payment Innovation Directors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS in business or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare systems, including 3 years of experience in a strategic role; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • MBA, MPH, or other related master’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience designing, managing, or implementing alternative payment models (APMs) and value-based care programs strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple projects; detailed-oriented and solution focused.
  • Highly efficient in written and verbal communication; ability to engage, influence, and drive consensus.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $84,720 to $152,496

Locations: New York & Washington, DC
