The Opportunity/Role 📢

Reporting to our Operations Finance Director, the Management Accountant is responsible for establishing and maintaining accounting policies and controls, financial controls, preparing financial reports and safeguarding the organization's assets. Key responsibilities will include:

• Assist in month-end closing and to provide monthly commentary and explanation of variances

• Ensure monthly raw material stock counts are being conducted correctly, to include RM stock reconciliation

• Improve standard costing process and work with factory/supply chain personnel to ensure bills of materials, routings and efficiencies are up to date.

• Work with IT to amend data posting rules and structure in our ERP system

• Management & review of operational departmental spend reports with budget holders

• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations where necessary

• Support operations personnel in investment appraisals and capex submissions

• Product costing, calculation of current costs for Marketing and standard costs on a regular basis.

• Budget creation of operations related costs and variances by working with factory personnel and forecasting when required

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant with minimum 5 years experience

• Understanding of modern management information systems

• Product Costing and Inventory Control (desirable)

• Experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX an advantage
