Senior Reservoir Engineer

Role Summary

Provides senior reservoir engineering input to asset screening, focusing on recoverable volumes, production forecasts, recovery mechanisms, and reservoir-related risks. Supports the Team Lead by translating subsurface uncertainty into recovery and development implications suitable for economic evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Estimating STOIIP/GIIP and recoverable volumes using volumetrics, analogs, material balance, and fit-for-purpose models.
  • Defining reservoir-related risks and uncertainties for inclusion in the asset risk register (connectivity, drive mechanism, sweep, injectivity, pressure support).
  • Developing screening-level production profiles (P90/P50/P10) consistent with reservoir behavior and facilities constraints.
  • Screening well count, spacing, depletion strategy, and EOR potential at a concept level and be able to translate that into impacted service lines within Baker Hughes, as well as potential partners. Review existing development plans and challenge status quo or define new tested concepts from analogue fields.
  • Reviewing reservoir models, test data, forecasts, and reserves statements during acquisitions or farm-ins.
  • Working closely with G&G and Production Engineering to ensure coherent subsurface and well performance assumptions.

Qualifications

  • BSc in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering (MSc preferred).
  • 15+ years reservoir engineering experience including asset evaluation and due diligence.
  • Strong expertise in DCA, material balance, reserves/resources classification, and uncertainty analysis.
  • Commercially aware, with experience supporting investment decisions.
